Bring people together around food and friendship, and help us raise £10,000 to support connection and wellbeing in our community.
In March 2026, Globe Community Project is inviting supporters to host a Feast for Friendship, a simple, joyful way to gather people you love, or neighbours you don’t know yet, while helping reduce loneliness and build stronger communities across Tower Hamlets.
What is Feast for Friendship?
Feast for Friendship is about sharing food, conversation and connection, and turning those moments into meaningful support for our work.
Host a meal with friends, family, neighbours or colleagues and invite your guests to donate to Globe Community Project. Every feast, big or small, helps us continue creating welcoming spaces where people feel connected, supported and part of something bigger.
This year, we’re aiming to raise £10,000, and with enough tables, kitchens and living rooms involved, we know it’s possible.
Why your feast matters
With your help, Globe Community Project can continue offering transformative, in-depth support for those in our community who need it the most, providing safe spaces where people can breathe, share, connect with other people and heal. Your support helps ensure people of all backgrounds can feel seen, valued and connected.
Your contribution allows us continue offering free wellbeing support for Over 60s, female refugees and their children, and safe spaces where people can feel welcomed and supported.
“I miss Odessa, I miss my home, so much of my country has been damaged. I speak more English now because we practice in the group, and I met my very good friend there.”

I can’t do a big dinner - can I still host?
Of course! From tea and scones, to Iftar fasts, to coffee and croissants or an Eid celebration with family, your feast can take any form you like.
Please let us know how things go! We’d love to see and share pictures from your gatherings. You can follow what others in our community are doing at @globecommunityproject.
What does Globe Community Project do?
At Globe Community Project, we create gentle, welcoming spaces where people can breathe again. Through our mindfulness courses, creative arts activities, women’s groups and community gatherings, we support people in Tower Hamlets who are carrying stress, illness, loneliness or the weight of starting over in a new country after fleeing war.
Since GCP’s inception in 2003, we have delivered projects in Tower Hamlets that respond to a wide range of community needs. At the heart of all our projects is our commitment to building connections in our community.
Whether you’re hosting a cosy dinner, a brunch, or a big shared table, every feast counts.
Together, our March 2026 feasts can help us reach our £10,000 goal and strengthen community connections where they matter most.
