We are all interconnected
Nurturing connection among isolated and under-served groups in and around Tower Hamlets
Transforming loneliness into connection in our community
Globe Community Project is a Buddhist-inspired charity working to make Tower Hamlets a place where nobody is chronically lonely and everyone feels like they belong. Our projects help isolated people develop skills and build relationships and support networks that combat loneliness and improve their wellbeing.
As a small charity, we focus on those who most need our help. This includes people who are disadvantaged by low income, disability, sensory impairment, poor physical or mental health, trauma, insecure migration status, marginalisation or a combination of these factors.

What we do
We provide a wide range of wellbeing, educational, social and creative activities that nurture connection among local residents. We promote cross-cultural collaboration and encourage participation from people from diverse backgrounds, helping us to build a more cohesive and interconnected community.
We design projects that respond to local needs and provide support to the most isolated and under-served groups in our community. Our current projects focus on providing support to older people at risk of isolation and recently-arrived refugee and migrant women who have suffered trauma.
Who we are
Our charity was founded in 2003 by practicing Buddhists who decided to put their compassion and generosity into action. We aim to build connections among residents of Tower Hamlets and surrounding areas, uniting people across the spectrum of faith, beliefs and cultures so we can all enjoy the rich diversity of our area.
