We're hiring! Outreach & Engagement Lead

Good with people?

A Bangla speaker with outreach skills?

Join our dynamic and growing charity in the heart of East London, bringing your fantastic people skills to support regular wellbeing courses and weekly follow-on sessions for isolated older people. As part of this part-time, 0.6 FTE role, you’ll use your friendly energy to identify suitable partners, liaise with venues and course facilitators, and work with referrers to identify and reach participants, supporting them to attend and benefit. As a good or fluent speaker of both English and a Bangla dialect, your language skills will help you reach those facing language barriers. While you’ll mainly focus on our work with lonely older people, you’ll also provide support across GCP’s projects, identifying and building the right relationships, and supporting the Director with operations.

You’ll have the chance to work with all kinds of people, and freedom to recruit volunteers to support you in your work.

You’ll need some experience of community outreach and managing volunteers, as well as a demonstrable alignment with GCP’s values.

Approx start date: Monday 18th March 2024 or earlier, with some handover before you fully take on the role.
