We're hiring! Comms Officer role

Love connecting with people?

A natural community builder?

Always on social media?

Globe Community Project are hiring a freelance Communications Officer for 4 hours a week, starting late August 2022. We’re looking for a proactive, energetic person to support our local community work with isolated older people, refugee and migrant women, and people suffering from chronic pain and illness.

You will raise awareness of our services and impact in the local community. You’ll manage our social media accounts, create online content, interact with our supporters and reach beyond existing networks. You will also contribute to our comms strategy. Working with support and guidance from our Programmes & Operations Manager, you’ll get regular catch-ups, plus chance to meet project staff, trustees and our wider network.

Ideally based in East London, you’re up for helping with occasional local outreach work. But with most work online, remote could be possible. Six month initial contract, with extension subject to results and GCP’s funding position.

Founded by Triratna Order Members practising at the London Buddhist Centre, GCP’s work is inspired and guided by Buddhist values. We are an accredited Living Wage employer.

Rate of pay: £13 per hour
